Backpack

Here are the top ten weird things in my backpack. Not all of them may be weird to you. Either way, I thought it would be fun to do a list of stuff. Of course, I have some of the usual things like a pen, wallet, phone, keys, etc. But, since that would be boring, I thought this would be an off-the-grid sort of list. I'm going to start with number ten (being the least weird) to number one (the weirdest thing). Here we go.

10. Stress Relief Nasal Spray

I tend to be a sucker for anything that helps with stress and immune system support. That means there is always something for stress or immunity in my backpack. It has peppermint, lavender, and other natural ingredients. But every time I use it, I do feel a little like President Skroob from Spaceballs sucking air out of a can.

9. Cat/Dog treats

Okay, so I have a cat and no dog. I love dogs too, but I just haven't had the luxury as an adult to be in a place that allowed them. Anyway, I have been in situations where having a dog or cat treat on hand can come in handy and it is because of this I have left a few packaged pet treats in my bag. Specifically 'Temptations' and 'jerky'. I wouldn't ever give a treat unless the owner was okay with it. Unless Cujo was coming after me, but in that case I would probably just run.

8. A Tiny Measuring Tape

A family member gave me this tiny measuring tape and I use it all the time. I know our phones can measure anything now, but nothing beats the tiny version of the real thing. Anything that saves space is awesome.

7. Wonky Mini Flashlight

I've had this mini flashlight forever. It has new batteries, but you still have to hit it against your hand to get it to turn on. I call it a 'Click-N-Hit'. You click the button and then when it doesn't turn on you hit it really hard against your hand and "Bingo!" it turns on.

6. Medi-Honey

If you don't know what this is, I highly recommend you add it to your medicine cabinet. My dad introduced this to me and It heals anything. You can even put it on a zit.

5. Old Flyer to an Art Show

I went to this art show that was in an old building with many different floors. Each level contained rooms of art of all kinds (sculpture, oil painting, acrylic, mixed media, writing on typewriters, music, installations, etc) . It was a magical night of exploring. When I got to the top of the building there was a band and a room full of gigantic original paintings that lined the walls. I was handed a flyer with the artwork and I couldn't bring myself to trash the flyer.

4. A Zoltar Fortune Teller Card

I am such a sucker for the Esmerelda and Zoltar machines at theme parks and Disneyland.

It never fails, I always have an old fortune card at the bottom of my bag.

3. A Wrapped Plastic Fork

You never know when you need to eat. This is for the survivalist in me and because I'm a person who likes snacks often. I should honestly get a camping spork instead, but this works for now. I don't always need it, but when I do it makes it so much better.

2. A Bigfoot Pressed Penny

If I ever am walking through the woods and I run into Bigfoot, I'll leave him/her my smashed penny so that he/she knows how much impact they've had on us (Bigfoot believers). I got this Bigfoot penny somewhere in Oregon. Definitely one of their stomping grounds. I forgot this was even in my bag. It's the one thing that has been there for years.

1. A Smaller Backpack

Contains ten other items that I will disclose in my next post titled "Top Ten Items In My Smaller Backpack".
