Wow, I didn't expect this to take me that long. To be clear these won't always be Top Ten lists. They are going to bounce all over the place, but for now this is the direction I've been going in. In general, the material is quick off the top things. Adding animation made it not so quick, but I had the urge to make something you could see as well as hear.
I'm still figuring my way with these blog posts and seeing what I like. I have a lot of these lists written so maybe I should post them already, but I enjoy doing something else visually with them. I am a sucker for video editing, animation, and basically any production Apps so when I was introduced to FlipaClip, I had to give it a try.
I was definitely in over my head as this was my first one and it has around a thousand or more frames. Anyway, the point of this was to add something visual to the "Top Ten Things Overheard in the Desert" list so mission accomplished.
And, if you don't want to watch the video. Here's the list below. Thanks for checking it out! Also, if you have overheard something funny in the desert, tweet it and tag me @shastinaleonard #TopTenIntheDesert. I'd love to hear from you.
Yessiree, the whole house is solar and my car runs off windmills.
The sky has more stars than the horses have flies
Gosh darn it, my steering wheel melted
Look, I don’t have enough gas in the car. We’re going to have to take the golf cart.
All you gotta do is drive straight down this highway and then take a right at the guy selling fruit.
Aliens? That’s not aliens. It’s a jumbo sized tumbleweed with Christmas lights.
Oh no, it’s so windy, my top blew off.
There’s only one thing to do when your arthritis kicks up. Take a dip in the hot springs.
Is this Gene Autry drive? Is he still alive?
Hey, I got a side hustle. It’s called “selling parasols at Coachella”.
